On October 17, Doug Jerger was inducted into Darryl Starbird’s National Rod & Custom Car Hall of Fame in the painter category, at a ceremony at the Museum of American Speed in Lincoln, Nebraska.
His induction slide listed the work behind it: three America’s Most Beautiful Roadster winners, the 2015 Detroit Autorama Great 8, 2016 GNRS Builder of the Year, the 2024 Goodguys Meguiar’s Street Rod d’Elegance and the 2026 Triple Crown Street Rod of the Year.
Doug took the podium to accept, then joined the rest of the 2026 class on the museum floor, a group that included metal shaper Bobby Walden, artist Tom Fritz and Lifetime Achievement honoree Corky Coker.
